Our Company History:
We have been involved in the computer and media business since 1986, back in the early days of personal computers. We
started out publishing a computer magazine for 7 years called Update! Magazine. We helped organize and produce early computer
shows. When we started importing and selling computer hardware and software we were known as Mechanical Affintiy and worked
with an excellent business partner, Paul Holmgren. We sold products for Sinclair, Timex-Sinclair, Cambrdige palmtop computers.
We presently with our friend Paul Holmgren are the North America owner of Sinclair Researchs' intellectual property rights.
This is for hardware and OS and software. It is not public domain. We did this till 1994 and sold out that business
in order to start a mail order and computer show business for Amiga computers. Our name then was changed to FWD Computing.
In the year 2000 as the Classic Amiga business was evaporating we branched out to selling Old Time Radio programs on CD. In
the year 2002 we added Science fiction Audiobooks on CD and Classic and Independent film movies on VCD (video CD) and
DVD. We have a small but growing number of titles that belong to us, as well as reselling items obtained from distributors.
We also now offer the service for authors who have published a book and now want to turn it into an audio book. Now they can
realize their dreams of an audiobook of their products cheaply, but finely done. We also work in conjunction with an
affiliate of ours Good Life Productions LLC, an audio improvement company. They are noted for their reaearch into audio improvement.
If any of you heard what they were producing in audiobooks and music CDs a few years ago (which were very good, but not as
good as they wanted) you will find their new products really fly! They got rid of the dead weight holding them back, got new
partners who shared their vision and have been revamping all their products and coming out with new ones. We will keep you
notified and be offering these new audios.
Taking our business to the web makes the process even more exciting. If sales are good we have MUCH bigger plans on offerings
for our customers. What we have listed is perhaps 6% of our available items.
Our Shop is located near the small village of Mexico, Indiana, USA in a quiet rural setting. We do not offer
services with a walk-in store.
